This client is one of the largest CBD and Kratom retailers in the United States, offering a variety of different products at affordable prices to both retail and wholesale customers. In addition, this Midwestern-based retailer produces many of the products that they sell. They are passionate about providing quality products and educating their customers on how best to use them to improve sleep, health, and overall wellbeing.
THE BUSINESS NEED:
As a multi-state retailer in an industry that was illegal until only recently, this retailer has aggressively attacked the market by building multiple warehouses and over 30 retail locations. It wasn’t long before they discovered that a package warehousing system was not enough. The unique criteria, flexibility, and distribution needs of the products they sell required more intricate, customizable, and sophisticated systems to support business operations.
WHAT GENECA DID:
To facilitate the dynamic nature of the business, supply retail stores, and provide goods to both retail and wholesale customers, Geneca created software to run the warehouse and stores that this up-and-coming retailer needed.
We consulted with business stakeholders to create inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems that would work together to streamline operations and customer in-store transactions in a new, multifaceted market. These solutions were built with the future in mind to enhance scalability, allow for additional direct customization by the client, and automate complex business processes.
THE RESULTS:
With great vision and creativity, this retailer invented industry-specific point-of-sale and warehousing techniques and experiences that separate them from the competition and make them the company to go to for the nation’s CBD needs. The warehouses convert to the new system at the start of 2021 and the rollout of the new point-of-sale system begins region by region. The retail software solutions created for this business help them to:

Originally, this retailer intended to use a marketing firm to design and build, but the complexity of the products and the pricing drove this client back to Geneca for implementation. The e-commerce site (which provides both education and products) is set to launch this spring.
